Industrial Designer
Job Responsibilities• Design and develop concepts for new products.
• Drive the product development process based on concept sketches.
• Create detailed designs, 3D models, and product prototypes using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform design concepts into manufacturable products and oversee the entire development process through commercialization.
• Manage quality control throughout the mass production process.
• Work closely with the manufacturing team to establish and maintain quality standards.
• Lead the development of innovative and practical products that meet market demands.
• Communicate with clients and internal teams to define design directions and continuously optimize products for commercialization.
QualificationsRequired
• Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Professional experience in industrial design or product design.
• Proven experience managing projects from concept sketches to mass production.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhinoceros, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
• Experience with 3D modeling, rendering, and prototyping.
• Practical experience in quality control for mass production.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing teams to improve product quality.
• Strong passion for design and continuous professional growth.
• Experience in project planning and schedule management.
• English proficiency sufficient to read technical documentation and conduct basic business conversations.
Preferred
• Knowledge of User-Centered Design (UCD) and ergonomics.
• Design experience in automotive, consumer electronics, household appliances, or consumer products.
• Knowledge and practical experience in quality management.
• Experience with digital quality management systems and data analysis tools.
• Experience working with international teams.
• Strong interest in emerging technologies and advanced materials.
• Chinese language proficiency.

SalaryEstimated Annual Salary (including allowances)
• Master's Degree: JPY 4.6 million – 5.8 million
• Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.): JPY 6.0 million – 7.6 million
• Three-month probation period with no change in salary or benefits.
